As Chair of the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council, Fawn Annan provides oversight of the activities of the Board of Directors, guides strategic direction of the C4, and ensures fiduciary responsibilities are met. Fawn is also the President and Group Publisher of IT World Canada — the leading national digital media publisher providing timely, incisive information to technology-decision makers to help them succeed in their jobs. Media properties include: CanadianCIO, ComputerDealer News, ITBusiness and Direction Informatique.
Annan’s background includes having run her own business and working for companies such as Microsoft, and HP, attaining progressively senior roles with responsibilities for sales, marketing, and strategy. She joined IT World Canada in 2001 and became President in 2010. She currently sits on various boards, including ITAC Ontario, CATA iCanada, and CATAWIT. Annan also holds a volunteer role as Ontario Lead for Crowdfunding/iCanada and works on two strategic committees for the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) helping to shape Canada’s recommendations for digital policies. In 2012, she received the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Award from the Office of the Governor General of Canada and CATA in recognition of her contributions to strengthening a vital area of Canadian life.
