CIO Insider with Catherine Chick and Alex Buhler
July 8, 2021 @ 6:30 am - 8:00 am UTC-4
Join us for the second CIO Insider event of 2021. The 90-minute virtual session will feature an opportunity to ask two influential CIOs their views on the approaches – good and bad – taken by the vendor community. This is a private, off-the-record discussion to allow for a frank exchange of ideas.
Canadian Channel Chief President Corinne Sharp will lead the cameras on discussion with Catherine Chick, Senior VP of Technology with Canada Goose and Alex Buhler, CTO, Indochino.
Alex Buhler is the CTO with Indochino, a global leader in custom apparel. He has 20 years of experience in technology. He joined Indochino two years ago after working as CTO at Clearly, Canada’s number one eyewear site, and CIO at Mountain Equipment Co-op. Indochino has over 50 showrooms across Canada and the United States and before the pandemic added Australia as its first non-North American operation. The company is headquartered in Vancouver with offices in Dalian, China. It employs 600 people globally. Alex is responsible for the company’s omnichannel experience and he works closely with the organization’s management team.
Catherine Chick is Senior Vice President, IT at Canada Goose where she sets the strategic direction for technology to sustain business growth and operations globally. Prior to Canada Goose, she held senior leadership roles in manufacturing, public sector, research/higher education and technology in Canada and the United States. She understands that technology success relies as much on organizational change management as it does on delivery and operations. Her strategic vision is centered on the effective use of technology to differentiate a business and foster transformative change. Catherine is an active member of the CIO community as a Board member of the CIO Association of Canada.
